Inventaire des palmiers ornementaux dans six villes du Maroc oriental (Inventory of ornamental palms in six cities of Eastern Morocco)

The six cities of eastern region of morocco namely oujda,berkane,ahfir,saidia,nador and jerrada include 19730 palm feet spread over 12 species. washingtonia robuta h.w. comes a head of representativeness percentage with 36.13% of the total identified followed by phoenix canariensis hort. with 25.21%,arecastrum romanzoffianum cham with a percentage of 10.75%. phoenix dactylifera l. represents a percentage of 8.57%,followed by washingtonia filifera h.w. with 8,35% and chamaerops humils cham. with 7.74%. phoenix roebelenii is represented with a percentage of 2.16%,livistona australis with 0.83%,archontophoenix cunninghamiana with 0.13%. finelly,sabal palmetto represents a percentage of 0.045%,butia capitata a percentage of 0.03% and brahea armata a percentage of 0.005% of the total number of palm trees.
