Rehabilitation of the earthen architectural heritage,a heritage to save [Réhabilitation du patrimoine architectural en terre,un héritage à sauvegarder]

The field work carried out informs us on the presence of an earthen architectural heritage rich and diverse,largely based on the two most common traditional techniques,namely rammed earth and mud bricks (toub). the traces of this heritage are still visible,not only in desert areas where the two techniques find a favorable environment for their existences,but also in areas of mountains and high plateaus of our territory. unfortunately,field reality informs us that a significant number of this architectural heritage lost its physical stability. this research work has the purpose to safeguard this bequeaths through a rehabilitation process to serve as a fulcrum for sustainable and effective transmission of this segment of our earthen architectural heritage for future generations. thus,the objective of our contribution is to present traditional techniques of rehabilitation (from real examples) which are based primarily on interventions using methods,materials and traditional type tools,without being exhaustive.
