سفر هیولا از انگلستان تا بغداد؛ نقد تطبیقی رمان فرانکشتاین و فرانکشتاین در بغداد از دیدگاه مکتب گوتیک بر اساس نظریه ی رابرت هریس

بررسی متون ادبی بر اساس شاخصه های یک مکتب خاص و بررسی ارتباط آنها با یکدیگر در مطالعات تطبیقی، شیوه ی بهره گیری از شاخصه های آن مکتب را در مکان، زمان، فضا و فرهنگ های متفاوت نشان می دهد. گوتیکمکتبی است که بر وحشت، ابهام و رمز و راز دلالت دارد و در هر دورهای دستمایه ی خلق آثار بسیاری در جهان شده است. بررسی آثار داستانی این مکتب در کشورهای مختلف دلالت بر وجوه افتراق و اشتراک در درک هنری و ادبی نویسندگان مختلف از این مکتب دارد. احمد سعداوی نویسنده معاصر عراقی رمان فرانکشتاین در بغداد را تحت تاثیر رمان فرانکشتاین اثر مری شلی نویسنده انگلیسی خلق کرده است. هر دو رمان بر اساس مولفه های گوتیکی که رابرت هریس مطرح نموده، قابل بررسی و انطباق می باشند. بر این اساس پژوهش حاضر بر آن است تا با اتخاذ رویکردی تطبیقی، برجسته ترین مولفه های مکتب موردنظر را در دو رمان بررسی کند و به نوع تاثیر سعداوی از شلی بپردازد تا ضمن بررسی، شباهت ها و تفاوت های دو اثر و مصادیق ابتکار سعداوی را نشان دهد. یافته های پژوهش نشان می دهد که اثر سعداوی در ارتباطی موثر از نوع اقتباس آزاد با رمان فرانکشتاین شکل گرفته است؛ زیرا وی بر مبنای اقتباس آزاد ایده و شخصیت هیولا را از منبع پیش از خود گرفته است و از آن برای روایتی در فضا، مکان، زمان، فرهنگ و شخصیت هایی تازه بهره برده است.

the monster’s journey from england to baghdad: a comparative critique of frankenstein and frankenstein in baghdad with a gothic perspective based on robert hariss’ theories

examining literary texts based on the characteristics of a particular school and their relationship with one another in comparative studies unveils the applicability of different characteristics of that school in diverse places, times, spaces, and cultures. gothic is a school that conveys terror, ambiguity, and mystery and has inspired the creation of many works in the world in every era. examining the fictional works of this school in different countries indicates differences and commonalities in the artistic and literary understanding of different writers from this school. ahmad saadawi, a contemporary iraqi writer, created the novel frankenstein in baghdad under the influence of the novel frankenstei n by the english writer mary shelley. both novels can be checked and adapted based on the gothic components proposed by robert harris. consequently, the current research aims to examine the most prominent components of the school in question in the two novels by adopting a comparative approach and studying the influences of mary shelley on saadawi in order to show the similarities and differences between the two works beside exploring the features of saadawi's innovations. the findings of the research show that saadawi’s novel was formed in an effective correlation of free adaptation type with frankenstein, because he has taken the idea and character of the monster from the original source based on free adaptation and has used it for a narrative in a new space, place, time, culture and with new characters.
