Introduction: research has shown that withoutpublic participation, prevention of addiction isnot possible. the purpose of this study,is investigate of basij roles on making cultureand prevention of abuse substancemethod: the research method here isdescriptive-analytical. the sample consists of5005 people that have been selected in a multistagecluster from members and non members ofthe basij across the countryresults: results of samples, necessary tomobilize the participation of 32.5 percent a highor very high. people's willingness to work 39.2percent. rate of preparation is 48 percent andlevel of readiness base basij is 44 percent. 40percent of people know weaknesses in legalprotections as the main obstacle,. 44 percent ofpeople know the most important success factorin the extent of militia in all parts of the country.discussion: one of the effective policies onmaking culture and the prevention of drugabuse, spread of non-governmentalorganizations and public participation, in thisregard, basij can with supportive legislation,proper planning, training and deployment ofinformation and employing experts needed acton making culture and the prevention of drugabuse.
