انحراف از پیشینه‌‌پژوهی در ایران؛ تاملی نقادانه در مرور نوشتگان

دربارۀ روش‌‌های تحقیق در تاریخ، آثار فراوانی به زبان فارسی تالیف یا ترجمه شده است، اما نه در این آثار و نه در میدان عملی پژوهش‌های تاریخی، درحقیقت، اصل «پیشینه‌‌پژوهی» / «پیشینۀ تحقیق»، چنان‌که باید جایگاه شایسته‌ای نیافته است. با آن‌که پیشینۀ تحقیق از اجزای اصلی و جدایی‌‌ناپذیر هر تحقیق علمی است، نگاهی نقادانه به سنت پیشینه‌‌پژوهی در ایران نشانگر نوعی بیراهه‌‌پیمایی است. مسئله این است که «پیشینۀ ‌‌پژوهش» در تحقیقات تاریخی به امری زینتی و حاشیه‌‌ای تبدیل شده و اهمیت خود را از دست داده است. تمرکز این مقاله بر مسئلۀ پیشینۀ تحقیق، تعریف، اهداف و کارکردهای آن است، لذا به طرح این پرسش می‌‌پردازد که اصول و مبانی پیشینه‌‌نویسی چیست و ره‌یافت‌‌های اصلی در پیشینه‌‌پژوهی کدام است و برای بازیابی جایگاه آن چه باید کرد. نگارنده با نقد سنت پیشینه‌‌نویسی در رشتۀ تاریخ به این نتیجه می‌‌رسد که پیشینه‌‌پژوهی در ایران به موضوعی بی‌‌قاعده، انحراف‌یافته و غیرعلمی تبدیل شده و این وضعیت به‌شدت نیازمند بازنگری است؛ بنابراین، هم باید نوع دریافت و نگاهِ ما به پیشینۀ تحقیق به‌صورت بنیادی تغییر کند و هم نحوۀ نگارش ما دربارۀ آن تا بتوان پژوهش‌‌های تاریخی را ارتقا داد. یعنی هم نقش پیشینۀ پژوهش را به‌عنوان بستری برای خوانش انتقادی از پژوهش‌‌های پیشین برجسته کرد و هم امکان استفاده از تجربه‌‌های پژوهشگران قبلی را به‌عنوان پایگاهی برای آفرینش‌‌های علمی و گشودن افق‌‌های نوین بیش‌ازپیش فراهم آورد.

deviation from the research background in iran: a critical reflection on literature review

while numerous works have been written or translated into persian on historical research methods, neither these works nor the practical field of historical research have, in fact, given the principle of &literature review& or &background research& its proper place. although the research background is a fundamental and inseparable part of any scientific research, a critical examination of the tradition of historical research in iran reveals a form of misdirection. the problem is that the “research background” in historical research has become ornamental and marginal, losing its essential function. this article addresses the issue of research history, its definition, goals, and functions. it raises the question of what are the principles and foundations of historical writing, what are the main approaches in historical research, and what should be done to restore its proper position? by critiquing the tradition of historical writing in the field, the author concludes that historical research in iran has become irregular, deviant, and unscientific, and that this situation urgently requires revision. therefore, both our understanding of historical research and our approach to writing about it must fundamentally change to improve the quality of historical research. specifically, historical research should serve as a platform for critically reviewing previous studies and enable the use of earlier researchers’ experiences as a foundation for scientific innovation and the exploration of new horizons.
