بینش و روش در تاریخ‌نگاری عتبی

عتبی مورخ ایرانی عربی‌نویس قرن پنجم، نقشی مهمی در روشنگری تحول‌های شرق ایران داشته و تاریخ او الگوی مطالعات ادبی و تاریخی شده است.شرح‌های متعدد و اقتباس از داده‌های تاریخی او نشان می‌دهد تاریخ یمینی اثری تاثیرگذار بوده است.هدف این مقاله این است که با روشی تحلیلی تاثیر متقابل بینش و روش در تاریخ‌نگاری عتبی را روشن سازد. نظام فکری عتبی مبتنی بر چهار مولفه‌ی سلطنت‌گرایی، نخبه‌گرایی، انتقادی و شریعت‌مداری است که او را قادر ساخته است به روش توصیفی و تحلیلی به انحطاط‌شناسی دولت‌های شرق ایران و قدرت‌گیری غزنویان و نقش تفکر و رفتار نخبگان در این روندها بپردازد.هر چند عتبی در هماهنگی اجزای نظام فکری موفق عمل نکرده، و روایتی تاریخی با طرحی منسجم نپرداخته است، تاریخی ارزشمند با داده‌هایی منحصر به فرد درباره‌ی شرق ایران نوشته که مورخان بعدی به آن استناد کرده‌اند.این جامعیت، تاریخ او را از تک‌نگاری فردمحور به تاریخ منطقه‌ای بدل ساخته است.

Vision and Method in Utbi’s Historiography

Utbi, an IranianArabic historian of the fifth century, played an important role in shedding light on the developments in eastern Iran, and his history has become a model for literary and historical studies. Utbi intellectual system is based on the four components of monarchism, elitism, criticism and Shari’a, which has enabled him to descriptively and analytically examine the decline of the governments of eastern Iran and the rise of the Ghaznavids and the role of elite thought and behavior in these processes.
