|
This study aimed to compare the efficacy ofdexamethasone and hydrocortisone in the treatment ofacute paediatric asthma. forty seven asthmatic childrenwere randomised to receive either dexamethasone (0,6mg/ml, maximum 16 mg) m a single dose orhydrocortisone (8-10 mg/kg/day) in 4 equal doses for 2days. our findings showed that the mean length ofhospitalization in children receiving dexamethasone wassignificantly shorter than those receiving hydrocortisone
