چکیده
|
Mycetoma is a chronic and pustular infection usually involvesfoot. mycetoma in iran is not common and most cases havebeen reported from the south and north of jran. the objectiveof present study was to review the mycetom a and the distributionof its etiologic agents in iran. moreover, a 60-year-oldwoman with actinomycetoma lesions in her left foot was presented.direct smear of the grains showed positive, non-acidfast and branching filaments of actinomycetes. negative resultwas obtained from the cultures of grains.
