Giant Endobronchial Inflammatory Polyp

Inflammatory endobronchial polyp is a rare disease mostly encounteredin asthmatic patients. chronic airway and foreignmaterial irritation or thermal injury may result in the formationof granulated tissues and become polypoid mass. herein, wedescribe a 52-year-old man with severe respiratory distress andinfection with 35 years history of smoking. he had an obstructivepattern in his pulmonary function tests and severe bronchiectasisof right lower lobe that responded well to lobectomywith polypectomy. pathologic examination revealed large endobronchialpolyp 9x2 cm obstructing right and left bronchi andright lower lobe bronchiectasis. such large inflammatory endobronchialpolyp has rarely been presented in literature,
