چکیده
|
Human cytomegalovirus (hcmv) is a ubiquitous virus whosesole host is humans. since hcmv can contagion from personto person through numerous ways, vast populations of humansare infected. hcmv infections can potentially have a rangefrom asymptomatic infection in immuno-competent hosts tolife-threatening diseases in organ recipients and patients withaids. the present article reviews the occurrence of hcmvinfections and diseases in humans with different physiologicaland immunological status, and evaluates the existing laboratorymethods for diagnosis of the disease.
