Postpartum Hypercalcemia Secondary to aNeuroendocrine Tumor of Pancreas; a CaseReport and Review of Literature

Parathyroid hormone-related protein producing pancreaticneuroendocrine tumors have been infrequently reported. herein,we report a case of an iranian woman who had such a tumorduring pregnancy, and gave birth to a female neonatewith esophago-tracheal fistula and imperforated anus. hypercalcemiawas diagnosed at postpartum because of elevatedserum calcium levels in the neonate and neurologic deteriorationof the mother. extensive literature review revealed 42cases with pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors and hypercalcaemia.the clinical and laboratory findings of such patientsare reviewed in this manuscript
