|
Nafion is a perfluorinated anionic polyelectrolyte. the increasing popularity ofnafion for the fabrication of redox polymer modified electrodes in recent years arisesfrom easy fabrication, good electrical conductivity and high partition coefficientsof many redox compounds in nafion. to investigate the production of nanocompositionsby mixing electron transfer material and nafion polymer for themodification of electrodes, a functional membrane composed of nano-particles ofmethylene blue, and nafion was con structed. the materials were characterized.bythe methods of scanning electron microscopy (sem), transmission electronmicro scopy (tem), ultraviolet (uv)-vi sible and ff-ir. the average diameter of newnano-particles was estimated to be about 60 run.a novel nafion-riboflavin membranewas also constructed and characterized by the methods of sem, tem and uv-visiblespectroscopy. the estimated average diameter of new nanoparticles was about 60nm. our data has proven that nafion can be very interesting and helpful material inconstructing nanoparticles of different electro-active materials and it can immobilizethis material with a very good stability.
