آموزش و نهادهای علمی نوین در مصر سده نوزدهم میلادی

مصر جایگاه بلندی در آموزش علوم و معارف اسلامی و ادب عربی داشته و دانشمندان مسلمان مصری در پی‌ریزی اصول و مبانی آموزش اسلامی نقشی بسزا ایفا کرده‌اند. بسیاری از دانشمندان مسلمان از سرزمین‌های مختلف برای فراگیری دانش‌های دینی یا تکمیل آگاهی‌های خویش، راهی مصر می‌شده‌اند. با این همه، در سده سیزدهم/ نوزدهم و در پی قدرت‌گرفتن خاندان محمدعلی پاشا (حکـ : 1805/1220ـ 1849/1265) و کوشش برای تبدیل مصر به قدرتی منطقه‌ای، تحولاتی جدی در حوزه آموزش علوم در این سرزمین رخ داد و زمینه ورود نهادهای آموزشی و دانش‌های جدید به مصر فراهم شد و سنت ها و نهادهای آموزشی مصر تحت تاثیر نظام آموزش غربی قرار گرفت. این پژوهش سعی دارد، کوشش‌های مصریان را برای نوسازی نظام آموزشی این کشور در سده سیزدهم/ نوزدهم، بررسی کند.

Education and Modern Scientific Institutions in the Nineteenth Century Egypt

Egypt had a high status in the teaching of Islamic sciences and Arabic literature and Egyptian Muslim scholars have played a key role in shaping the principles of Islamic teaching. Many Muslim scholars have come to Egypt from different lands to learn religious knowledge or to complete their knowledge. However, in the thirteenth / nineteenth century, following the uprising of the family of Mohammad Ali Pasha (re.12201805 /1265/1849) and the attempt to convert Egypt into regional power, serious developments in the field of science education in this land occurred and the ground for the arrival of new educational institutions and new knowledge to Egypt was prepared, and traditions and educational institutions of Egypt were influenced by the Western education system. This research tries to study Egyptian efforts to modernize their education system in the thirteenth / nineteenth century
