چکیده
|
This paper presents an effective method to automatically extract welds fromdigitised radiographs. an algorithm was developed to locate and extract welds from theintensity profiles taken across the image by using a simple graphical analysis method. thealgorithm proposed was successfully applied to extract welds from 45 digitised weldradiographic images. the proposed method of weld segmentation was found work well withradiographs having non-gaussian intensity distribution across the weld region.
