بررسی تاثیر مالیات بر ارزش افزوده بر رشد اقتصادی (مطالعه موردی: کشورهای در حال توسعه و ایران)

از آنجایی که رشد اقتصادی بر بسیاری از شاخصهای اقتصادی از قبیل اشتغال، فقر، توزیع درآمد، سلامت و غیره اثر می گذارد، بررسی عواملی که بر رشد اقتصادی اثر گذار هستند، از اهمیت بالایی برخوردار می باشند. اهمیت این مسئله در کشورهای در حال توسعه که به طور چشمگیری با این مشکلات مواجه هستند دو چندان می شود. با توجه به فراگیر شدن مالیات بر ارزش افزوده در کشورهای در حال توسعه و کمبود تحقیقات در خصوص آثار این نوع مالیات بر متغیرهای اقتصادی خصوصاً رشد اقتصادی، نیاز به چنین مطالعاتی را برجسته تر می کند. در این مقاله با بکارگیری پنلی از 62 کشور در حال توسعه و روش gmmsystem اثر مالیات بر ارزش افزوده را بر رشد اقتصادی و منابع آن شامل رشد تجمع سرمایه و رشد بهره وری مورد بررسی قرار دادیم. نتایج حاصله منطبق با تحقیقات پیشین بود و حاکی از تاثیر مثبت و معنی دار مالیات بر ارزش افزوده بر رشد اقتصادی و منابع آن بود.

Investigating Value Added Tax Impact on Economic Growth (Case Study of Iran and Other Developing Countries)

AbstractSince economic growth affects many economic indexes such as employment, poverty, distribution of income, health, etc., investigating the factors influencing economic growth is of great importance. This would be even more important in developing countries, which face such problems as poverty, unemployment etc. Considering the fact that the VAT is becoming more popular in developing countries and the dearth of research on the effects of this type of tax on economic variables, especially economic growth, the need for this study is felt to shed lights on the related issues. In this paper, using a panel of 62 developing countries and the GMMsystem method, we examined the effect of VAT on economic growth and its sources, including growth of capital accumulation and the growth of productivity. The results were consistent with previous research, indicating a positive and significant effect of VAT on economic growth and its sources.
