Tissue engineered skin products are estimated to target a world market of several billion dollars a year. the available products decrease not only the patients' discomfort and disabilities, but also the costs of healthcare and workload of healthcare professionals. in this report, the commercially available bioactive and tissue engineered wound healing products are reviewed and their mechanisms of actions are described
