|
Tissue engineering is a true multi-disciplinary science, it requires contributions from many specialties such as physicists, chemists, materials engineers, mathematicians, computational biologists, biochemists, biomedical engineers, molecular biologists, immunologists , cell physiologists and clinicians. the basic elements in tissue engineering are cells, scaffolds, bioenvironment factors and biological functionality .this review article deals with different aspects of tissue engineering emphasizing biodegradable polymers as scaffolds for tissue engineering
