Perkongsian Pengetahuan Bagi Tujuan Pembelajaran Mengguna Media Sosial: Keperluan Kepada Model

Social media is potential in stimulating learning via knowledge sharing activities since information can be easilyaccessed with speed and without limit. in the light of changes in teaching and learning style which is becoming more students centred, institutions of higher learning in malaysia are now moving to e-learning. however, elearning is with limitations such as it does not encourage the development of new ideas and the creation of new knowledge, does not allow for knowledge sharing and transfer since it is merely a system for managing learning which focuses on one way communication. such a problem could be overcome by social media particularly the facebook group (fg). thus, this study seeks to identify the relationship between factors that affect the behaviour of using fg for sharing knowledge for learning purposes and also identifies the factors contributing to the behaviour of using such social media. a behavioural model is then developed. this is a descriptive study in the form of survey using quantitative approach. a total of 134 respondents comprises of electrical engineering students, school of electrical engineering, universiti teknologi mara were taken as samples for the study.questionnaires were used as the instrument for data collection which were distributed online. the data was analysed using statistical package for social science (spss) and analysis of moment structure (amos) version 2.0. descrptive analysis is used to analyse the demographic information of the respondents (gender, age, semester of study, e-mel, the fg and the tools for using fg) by means of frequency distribution and percentage technic.and the structural equation modeling (sem) is used for testing the proposed model based on the research hypothesis.the findings shows the fg usage is appropriate for sharing knowledge other than fostering close relationship between the lecturers and students.
