معناشناسی «وجوه و نظائر» و چگونگی معادل یابی آن در فرایند ترجمه حداد عادل از قرآن کریم

دانش «وجوه و نظائر» به بررسی دلالت های متعدد واژگان در بافت کلام وحیانی قرآن کریم می پردازد و نشان می دهد که این کتاب عظیم، دارای لایه های مختلف معنایی است. ازاین رو، فهم دقیق و معناشناسی واژگان قرآن، منوط به فهم وجوه و نظائر است. واژگان چند معنا در مصحف شریف، بیش از یک معنا را در نهاد خود جای داده که در ترجمه، غالباً بیش از یک معادل را پذیرا نیستند. ناظر به همین تنگنا، گاهی مترجمان در ترجمه واژگان دچار لغزش شده و واژه ای را که در موارد گوناگون معانی متفاوتی دارد، همه جا یکسان ترجمه کرده یا وجه معنایی واژه را متناسب با معانی موجود در کتب وجوه و نظائر و علوم قرآنی برگردان نکرده‌اند. نگارندگان این جستار با بررسی و استقصاء وجوه قرآنی در ترجمه حداد عادل، به تناسب حجم اندک این پژوهش، شماری از این وجوه قرآنی را به صورت کاملاً تصادفی، ارزیابی توصیفی‌ ‌تحلیلی و نقدی نموده اند. دستاورد این پژوهش که اساس آن بر وجوه معنایی و نه نظائر متمرکز است، نشان داد که این ترجمه از منظر دانش وجوه و نظائر، غالباً معادل و مطابق است؛ اما در بسیاری موارد نیز دچار لغزش و اشتباه شده و معانی ای مغایر با معانی موجود در کتب وجوه و نظائر، علوم قرآنی و تفاسیر ارائه کرده است.

The role of contextual clues in the selection of appropriate equivalents: A case study of the Quran translated by Haddad Adel

In this regard, the Book is found amazingly stratified. Generally, understanding and translating the Quranic words strongly depends on the scrutiny of their contexts. Words with several meanings encoded in them usually impart only one meaning in a certain context. As some translated copies of the Quran show, mistakes have slipped through due to the ignoring of the position of words in sentences and the words that are collocated to them. Some translators, indeed, have rendered certain multimeaning words the same way everywhere in the Book. The present research is conducted through a descriptiveanalytical method to evaluate the contextual truth value of Haddad Adel’s translation of the Quran by a random selection of his renderings. As the results of the study show, considering the semantic principles of how to handle polysemous words in linguistic contexts, Haddad Adel has rendered many of such words appropriately although there are many incongruent cases as well in which the selected target language equivalents do not match the corresponding contexts in the original text.
