vocalization characters and forkhead box p2 (foxp2) polymorphism in indonesian crowing-type chicken (gallus gallus domesticus)

Crowing-type chicken is one of the important chicken breeds in indonesia. this study was conducted to investigate the crowing characters of pelung chicken and the effect of exon 7 foxp2 gene polymorphism in mute chicken. chicken were obtained from local breeder. pelung chicken crowing and morphology characterizations were conducted in cianjur, west java, indonesia. chicken breeding (♀ broiler×♂ pelung and ♀ pelung×♂ f1), dna extraction and foxp2 gene amplification were conducted at the faculty of biology, gadjah mada university. results showed that the crowing duration was approximately 8.435 ± 1.647 s, consisting of 1.104 ± 0.210 s first syllable, 5.532 ± 1.274 s second syllable, and 1.858 ± 0.969 s third syllable. cross-breeding between pelung and broiler chicken resulted in chicken progeny all of which were of non-crowing-type. our breeding results indicated that long crowing traits followed recessive autosomal inheritance. sanger sequencing revealed an identical exon 7 sequence in mute and normal crowing-type chicken. therefore, crowing is an important character for determining chicken breed purity, and our bioacoustic analysis was applicable in chicken show.

ویژگی‌های صوتی و چندشکلی FoxP2 در جوجه‌های تیپ Crowing (Gallus gallus domesticus)

جوجه‌ تیپ crowing یکی از نژادهای مهم جوجه در اندونزی است. این مطالعه برای بررسی ویژگی‌های crowing جوجه‌های‌ Pelung و اثر چندشکلی اگزون 7 ژن FoxP2 در جوجه‌های بی‌صدا اجرا شد. جوجه‌ها از پرورش‌دهندگان محلی جمع‌آوری شدند. ویژگی‌های مورفولوژیکی و crowing جوجه‌های Pelung در سیناجور، جاوای غربی، اندونزی انجام شد. پرورش جوجه‌ها ( ♀Broiler×Pelung♂و ♀ Pelung×♂ F1)، استخراج DNA و تکثیر ژن FoxP2 در دانشکده بیولوژی، دانشگاه Gadjah Mada انجام شد. نتایج نشان دادند که طول دوره Crowing تقریباً 1.674 ± 8.453 ثانیه، شامل 0.210 ± 1.104 ثانیه اولین سیلاب، 1.274 ± 5.532 ثانیه دومین سیلاب، و 0.969 ± 1.858 ثانیه سومین سیلاب بود. تلاقی‌گری بین جوجه‌های Pelung و گوشتی منتج به ایجاد جوجه‌هایی شد که همه از نوع غیر crowing بودند. نتایج پرورش ما نشان داد که صفات crowing بلند از وراثت اتوزومی نهفته پیروی می‌کند. توالی‌یابی سنگر یک توالی اگزون 7 یکسان را در جوجه‌های بی‌صدا و تیپ crowing طبیعی آشکار ساخت. بنابراین، crowing یک ویژگی مهم برای تعیین جوجه‌های پرورشی خالص است، و آنالیز زیستیصوتی در جوجه‌های نمایشی (chicken show) قابل اجرا بود.
