Solvent extraction is a technique used to separate compounds based on their solution preferences in two different immiscible liquids. chemical kinetics is the area of science devoted to study the rates as well as the mechanisms of reactions. this review deals with the basics of chemical kinetics and reaction mechanisms in solvent extraction technique,new trends and chemical kinetics applications as well as the projections to the future. © penerbit universiti sains malaysia,2017.
