This research reports an experimental investigation of the contribution of glass textile to the performance of concrete beams reinforced with frp rebars. glass textile is used to replace the traditional transverse reinforcement. the experimental program includes eight rectangular concrete beam specimens reinforced with various types of reinforcements. the studied variables of the experimental program are the aspect ratio of a/d, transverse shear reinforcement, types of transverse reinforcement and number of glass textile layers. two groups of beams with different aspect ratios, namely 2.3 and 2.8, are examined. the experimental results indicate that concrete beams reinforced with the glass textile have a comparable behaviour with those reinforced with frp transverse reinforcements. the increase in the textile reinforcement ratios enhances the shear performance of the tested beams. the aspect ratio slightly influences the shear behaviour of these beams. a finite element model was also developed and compared against the test results. finally, the parametric study was conducted to quantify various parameters on the shear behaviour of concrete beams reinforced with frp rebars
