یضطرّ الشعراء فی بعض الاحیان الى الخروج من قواعد اللغة والشعر و اصولهما حتّى یستطیعوا ان یحفظوا موسیقى الشعر و جماله. قد سمّی هذا الاضطرار او الاختیار الشاعریّ ب«الضرورة الشعریة». والرضی الاسترآباذی من اشهر العلماء الذین بذلوا جهدا کثیرا فی البحث و الدراسة فی مجال الضروره الشعریه. ویحاول هذا المقال دراسه الضروره الشعریه عند الرضی الاسترآباذیّ فی کتاب شرح الکافیه، بناء على المنهج الوصفی التحلیلی لتحدید آراء الرضی حول الضروره الشعریه وکیفیه معالجتها فی کتاب شرح الکافیة. فی رای الرضی خروج الشاعر من قواعد اللغة و وزن الشعر، مسموح به. ولا یوجد هذا الخروج فی الشعر فقط بل یوجد فی الآیات القرآنیة و الاحادیث الشریفة و کلام العرب، یعنی انّ الشعراء والکتاب و المتکلمون، یحفظون جمال الکلام بالاستعانة من التغییر او الزیادة او النقص فی الکلمات وعدم مراعاه قواعد اللغه والشعر، وموسیقاه فی بعض الاوقات. و الرضی یاتی بمثال من دواوین الشعراء لکل ضرورة شعریة و یشرحه و یفسّره بشکل دقیق.
