Research Performance of Agriculture Faculty Members:

Based on personal and professional characteristics, thepresent study compares the research performance amongfaculty members of agricultural colleges in west part of iran.the statistical population of this study consisted of all facultymembers in the agricultural colleges of universities of ilam,razi and kurdistan at iran, which 116 faculty members wereselected as the sample using the proportionate stratified randomsampling method. the main instrument in this study was questionnairewhich its validity was confirmed by the panel ofexperts. the data was analyzed using descriptive and inferentialstatistics with spsswin20 software. results showed that thepresent status of research performance among faculty membersof agricultural colleges in west part of iran was weak. resultsof mean comparisons showed that there was significantdifference between research performance based on age, workexperience, academic degree, educational group and gendervariables. findings of this study can pave the way for formulatingsound programs in higher agricultural education system topromote research performance among faculty members ofagricultural colleges.
