Developing the health, safety and environment excellence instrument

Quality and efficiency are important issues in management systems. to increase quality, to reach best results, tomove towards the continuous improvement of system and also to make the internal and external customerssatisfied, it is necessary to consider the system performance measurement. in this study the health, safety andenvironment excellence instrument was represented as a performance measurement tool for a wide range ofhealth, safety and environment management systems. in this article the development of the instrument overallstructure, its parts, and its test results in three organizations are presented. according to the results, the scoresranking was the managership organization, the manufacturing company and the powerhouse construction project,respectively. the results of the instrument test in three organizations show that, on the whole, the instrument hasthe ability to measure the performance of health, safety and environment management systems in a wide range oforganizations.
