postmodernism and translation: analyzing the translation of postmodernism fictional text

The present paper explored the persian translation of richard brautigan’s trout fishing in america by payam yazdanjoo as a fictional text in order to highlight the extent of postmodernism and the main problems of translating postmodernism were assessed by the researchers. in conducting this qualitative corpus-based study, the researchers focused on eight postmodernism techniques which were presented by sheeba (2017). the findings of the study revealed that all the techniques of postmodernism were applied by the iranian translator. among all, magical realism has been applied more than other techniques while reader involvement has been used less than other ones in rendering the translation. the results of the study also indicated the ability of the translator in highlighting illusory and imaginary phrases to assist the reader in understanding such imaginative items. regarding the main problems, the translator has to omit many cultural differences which can produce the most far-reaching misunderstandings among readers. also, in most cases, he only transferred the sentences into the target text.

پست مدرنیزم و ترجمه: بررسی ترجمه داستان های پست مدرنیزم

پژوهش حاضر به  تجزیه و تحلیل ترجمه متن داستانی پست مدرنیزم پرداخته است. به طور خاص، محقق سعی درمشخص کردن تکنیک های پست مدرنیزم داشته که توسط مترجم ایرانی استفاده شده است. علاوه بر این،  ترجمه فارسی متن داستانی به منظور برجسته کردن میزان پست مدرنیسم بررسی شده است و مشکلات اصلی ترجمه پست مدرنیسم توسط محقق ارزیابی شد. این پژوهش یک تحقیق کیفی متمرکز برهشت تکنیک پست مدرنیسم است که توسط شیبا (2017) ارائه شده اند. مجموعه ای که برای انجام این کار جمع آوری شده بود متشکل از داستان صید قزل آلا در آمریکا اثر ریچارد براتیگان و ترجمه فارسی آن توسط یزدانجو بود. پس از تحلیل و تفسیر داده ها ، نتایج به طور کامل مورد بحث و تحقیق قرار گرفت. یافته ها نشان داد که همه فنون پست مدرنیسم توسط مترجم ایرانی به کار گرفته شده است. در میان همه ، رئالیسم جادویی بیش از سایر تکنیک ها به کار رفته است ، اما درگیری خواننده کمتر از سایر تکنیک ها در ترجمه استفاده شده است.  نتایج این پژوهش همچنین بیانگر توانایی مترجم در برجسته سازی عبارات واهی و خیالی برای کمک به خواننده در درک چنین موارد تخیلی است. در مورد مشکلات اصلی ، مترجم مجبور بوده است که بسیاری از تفاوت های فرهنگی را که می تواند سوتفاهم های گسترده ای را در بین خوانندگان ایجاد نماید، حذف کند. همچنین ، در بیشتر موارد، او فقط جملات را به متن مقصد منتقل کرده و یافتن معنی دقیق جملات برای خواننده به فارسی بسیار سخت است.
