genre analysis of tefl thesis english abstracts and their persian translations

This research aimed to investigate english and persian abstracts of tefl theses. to achieve the study's objective, 120 english thesis abstracts and their persian translations of iranian tefl students at the ma level at different universities in iran were collected and then analyzed. the sampling method used was purposive sampling. first, two raters' qualitative content analysis was done based on swales’ (2004) model. then, the frequencies and percentages of different moves were calculated in the english and persian corpora. finally, chi-square tests were run to check the significance of the difference between the frequencies of different english and persian corpora moves. the results showed the occurrence of various moves in the english corpus. the results also confirmed that other moves were present in the persian corpus. finally, the results demonstrated that there was a significant difference between the frequencies of different moves in the two corpora, except move 1 step 2 making topic generalizations, move 2 step 1b indicating gap, move 2 step 1c question raising, and move 3 step 6 (pisf) stating the value of the present research.

بررسی ژانر چکیده پایان نامه های انگلیسی رشته آموزش زبان و ترجمه فارسی آنها

این تحقیق با هدف بررسی حرکات ژانری چکیده های انگلیسی و ترجمه آنها در پایان نامه های رشته آموزش زبان انجام شده است. به این منظور ، 120 چکیده انگلیسی و ترجمه فارسی آنها که توسط دانشجویان مقطع کارشناسی ارشد از دانشگاههای مختلف ایران نوشته شده بود گردآوری و تجزیه و تحلیل شد. روش نمونه گیری هدفمند بود. تجزیه و تحلیل کیفی محتوای پیکره توسط دو ارزیاب بر اساس مدل سوئلز(2004) انجام گرفت. سپس، فراوانی ها و درصد حرکتها  در کورپس انگلیسی و فارسی محاسبه شد. سرانجام، آزمون های خی دو برای بررسی معنادار بودن تفاوت بین فراوانی های حرکت های مختلف در کورپس انگلیسی و فارسی اجرا شد. نتایج نشان داد که حرکت های مختلفی در چکیده های انگلیسی مورد استفاده قرار گرفته است. همچنین نتایج حاکی از این بود که حرکتهای مختلفی در چکیده های فارسی بکار برده شده است. سرانجام، نتایج نشان داد که تفاوت معناداری بین فراوانی حرکتهای مختلف در دو کورپس وجود دارد، به جز حرکت 1 مرحله 2 تعمیم موضوع ، حرکت 2 مرحله ب 1 نشان دادن شکاف، حرکت 2 مرحله 1پ طرح سوال و حرکت 3 مرحله 6 که بیان کننده ارزش تحقیق حاضر می باشد.
