|
Output characteristics offu el cells are affected by a large number ofparam eterssuch as geometry, dimensions, construction materials and conditions of supplying flui ds. in thispaper a mathematical model followed by a two-dimensional numerical approach has beenpresented to study thefuel cell parametrically. effect of oxygen concentration at gas diffusion layerentrance, temperature and pressure oft he fluid in channels and thickness ofmembranefor variouscurrent densities were studied. the results show thai increasing pre ssure and input oxyge nconcentration as well as decreasing membrane thickness improve power density and raise limitingcurrent density.
