چکیده
|
One aim of the study was to create a spectroscopic method for evaluating the drug sulfamerazine. the current method creates a violet-colored soluble product by employing an oxidative coupling reaction between sulfamerazine (smz) solution and n, n-dimethyl-p-phenylenediamine dihydrochloride solution (n, n-dmppdadh) in basic medium with sodium periodate (naio4) as an oxidizing agent. a colored product demonstrates maximum absorption at a wavelength of 564 nm. the concentration range of 3.125 - 50 µg/ml of sulfamerazine is covered by the technique under evaluation, based on beer's law. the sensitivity of the technique is shown by the specific molar absorbance value of 9346.77 l/(mol.cm) and the sandell significant value, or sensitivity per unit length of 0.0271 μg/cm2. the study is shown to have exceptional precision, which is corroborated by the low relative standard deviation value of 0.79%. this method's validated detection limit of 0.0124 μg/ml demonstrates how accurate it is in recognizing sulfamerazine at such low amounts. the method that was created has been beneficial in sulfamerazine screening for medicinal items. the reported 99.98% recovery rate of sulfamerazine in the studied samples indicates that the approach was successful in precisely determining the sulfamerazine content of real-world samples.
