Legendre Polynomial Solution of Nonlinear Volterra-Fredholm Integarl Equations

In this paper, we present a method to solve nonlinear volterrafredholm-hammerestein integral equations in terms of legendre polynomials. properties ofthese polynomials and operational matrix ofintegration together with the produ ct operational matrix are first presented. these properties are then utilized to transform the integral equation to a matrix equation which corresponds to a system of nonlinear algebraic equations with unknown legendre coeffi cients. finally, numerical examples illustrate the effi ciency and accuracy ofthe method.
