چکیده    The biosorption of pb (ii) ions from aqueous solution onto immobilized cells of pycnopoms sanguinous (p. sanguineus) was investigated by considering the effect of ph, initial lead (ii) concentration and biomass loading at 150 rpm for 2 hr. results showed that the uptake of pb (ii) ions increased with the increase of initial pb (ii) concentration and ph. the optimum ph for pb (ii) biosorption was at ph 4 with initial pb (ii) concentration of 3.12 mg/g. langmuir, freundlich and redlich-peterson isotherm models fitted the data well with correlation coefficients r^2> 0.90. the change in biosorption capacity with time was found to fit the pseudo-second order followed by intraparticle diffusion equation at different temperatures.
