impact of digital health literacy on quality of life among people with physical disabilities

Aims: individuals with physical disabilities often encounter challenges in accessing healthcare, which may adversely affect their quality of life. with the increasing adoption of digital health technologies, digital health culture has emerged as a critical factor in improving health outcomes. this study aimed to examine the impact of digital health literacy on the quality of life of individuals with physical disabilities while evaluating the use of e-health services as a mediating parameter.materials & methods: this cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted on 120 individuals with physical disabilities at the babylon rehabilitation center in iraq. data were collected using validated questionnaires that measured digital health literacy, the use of e-health services, and quality of life (whoqol-bref). statistical analysis included pearson correlation coefficients, multiple regression analysis, and mediation analysis using the hayes macro process model.findings: digital health literacy technology was significantly associated with both the use of e-health services (r=0.56) and quality of life (r=0.42). regression analysis indicated that both dhl technology (β=0.28, p=0.003) and e-health use (β=0.39, p<0.001) significantly predicted quality of life. mediation analysis revealed a statistically significant indirect effect (b=0.20) of digital health literacy technology on quality of life through the use of e-health services.conclusion: digital health literacy significantly improves the quality of life of individuals with physical disabilities, especially when they effectively use e-health services.
