physical and mental health status and its related demographic factors in martyr's elderly parents: a case study of tehran city

Aims health is one of the fundamental rights of every human as well as it is a social aimand all governments are responsible for people’s health. this study aimed to investigate thephysical and mental health and its related demographic factors in martyr’s elderly parents.instruments & methods this cross-sectional descriptive study was carried out on martyr’selderly parents in tehran, iran in 2018. 600 individuals were selected by proportionaterandom sampling method. data collection was conducted using a demographic questionnaire,the activities of daily living (adl) questionnaire and world health organization (five) wellbeingindex (who-5). data were analyzed by spss 23 software through independent t-test,one-way analysis of variance and tukey’s post-hoc test.findings the mean scores obtained for the activities of daily living was 10.07±3.17 and themean scores obtained for world health organization (five) well-being index was 11.60±5.87.there was a significant relationship between the ability to doing activities of daily living andmental well-being with demographic characteristics including age, gender, marital status,ability to read and write and the number of income sources (p<0.05).conclusion physical and mental health status of martyr’s elderly parents in tehran city isin the low level and it has a relationship with demographic characteristics including age,gender, marital status, ability to read and write and the number of income sources.

وضعیت سلامت جسمانی و روانی و عوامل جمعیت‌شناختی مرتبط با آن در والدین سالمند شهدا؛ مطالعه موردی شهر تهران

اهداف: سلامتی حق اساسی هر انسان و یک هدف اجتماعی است و تمام دولت‌ها و حکومت‌ها موظف به تامین سلامت افراد هستند. این مطالعه با هدف بررسی وضعیت سلامت جسمانی و روانی و عوامل جمعیت‌شناختی مرتبط با آن در والدین سالمند شهدا انجام گرفت.ابزار و روش‌ها: این مطالعه توصیفی از نوع مقطعی در سال 1397 در بین والدین سالمند شهدای شهر تهران انجام شد که از میان این جامعه، 600 نفر به روش نمونه‌گیری تصادفی طبقه‌بندی وارد مطالعه شدند. جمع‌آوری اطلاعات از طریق پرسش‌نامه جمعیت‌شناختی، پرسش‌نامه فعالیت روزمره زندگی (ADL) و شاخص بهزیستی پنج‌سئوالی سازمان بهداشت جهانی صورت گرفت. تجزیه و تحلیل داده‌ها توسط نرم‌افزار SPSS 23 و با استفاده از آزمون‌های T مستقل، آنالیز واریانس یک‌طرفه و آزمون تعقیبی توکی انجام شد.یافته‌ها: میانگین نمرات فعالیت روزمره زندگی 3.17 ±10.07 و میانگین نمرات شاخص بهزیستی پنج‌سئوالی سازمان بهداشت جهانی 5.87 ±11.60 به دست آمد. توانایی انجام فعالیت روزمره زندگی و نیز بهزیستی روانی با متغیرهای جمعیت‌شناختی سن، جنس، وضعیت تاهل، توانایی خواندن و نوشتن و تعداد منابع درآمد ارتباط آماری معنی‌داری داشت (0.05p<).نتیجه‌گیری: وضعیت سلامت جسمانی و روانی والدین سالمند شهدای شهر تهران در سطح پایین است و با عوامل جمعیت‌شناختی نظیر سن، جنسیت، وضعیت تاهل، منبع درآمد و توانایی خواندن و نوشتن رابطه دارد.
