نقش فرهنگ در تجربه زندگی زنان مبتلا به سرطان پستان در ایران:یک مطالعه پدیدار شناختی

مقدمه: بافتار فرهنگی بر چگونگی سازگاری روانشناختی با بیماری سرطان پستان در زنان اثر می‌گذارد. این مطالعه با هدف به دست آوردن درک عمیق از تجربیات زندگی زنان با در نظر گرفتن نقش فرهنگ بر شکل‌گیری تجربیات مواجهه با سرطان پستان انجام گرفت. روش بررسی: این پژوهش با استفاده از طرح پدیدارشناسی کیفی با هدف درک عمیق‌تر تجربیات زنان مبتلا انجام شد. جامعه آماری این پژوهش شامل زنان ایرانی مبتلا به سرطان پستان که به مراکز آموزشی و انکولوژی دانشگاه‌های علوم پزشکی کشور جهت انجام فرآیند درمانی مراجعه کرده بودند و در گروه مجازی سرطان پستان تهران عضو بودند. داده‌ها از طریق نمونه‌گیری هدفمند و به روش گلوله برفی و با استفاده از مصاحبه‌های نیمه ساختاریافته و عمیق با 11 زن در مراحل 1و2و3 سرطان پستان در محدوده سنی 29 تا 51 سال انجام شد. راهنمای مصاحبه سوالات نیمه ساختار یافته بود.یافته‌ها: مفاهیم مهم پدیدار شده که نشات گرفته از عوامل فرهنگی اثرگذار بر سازگاری با سرطان پستان بود. چالش‌هایی که زنان مبتلا به سرطان پستان با آن روبرو بودند: شامل ترس افراد از بیماری سرطان محدودیت‌های مالی و شغلی، تغییر در ایفایی نقش مادرانگی، نگرانی‌‌های درک شده از پیش‌بینی‌ناپذیر بودن شرایط اجتماعی، همدری‌های ناسالم نزدیکان و افراد جامعه و تابو بودن بیماری سرطان و راهبرد‌هایی که برای فایق آمدن بر شرایط تهدید کننده بیماری استفاده‌ می‌شد: اتکا به معنویات، حمایت اداراک شده، حفظ توانایی‌های فردی، برون ریزی هیجانات.نتیجه‌گیری: شکل‌گیری تجربیات افراد و تعامل با سرطان پستان، تحت تاثیر فرهنگی است که افراد در آن زندگی. مداخلاتی که به لحاظ فرهنگی متناسب با نیازهای جمعیت باشد می‌تواند بواسطه زبان مشترک (فرهنگ) اثر بخش‌تر واقع شود.

role of culture in the life experience of women with breast cancer in iran: a phenomenological study

introduction: the impact of cultural context on the psychological adaptation of women to breast cancer (bc) has been recognized as significant. consequently, the primary objective of this study was to gain insight into women’s life experiences, taking into account the role of culture in forming bc-related experiences.methods: this research was conducted with a qualitative phenomenological design to detect the experiences of women living with bc. the statistical population of this research included iranian women with bc who referred to educational and oncology centers affiliated with the medical sciences universities in iran and were members of the tehran bc virtual group. the samples were selected using purposeful and snowball sampling methods. the required data were collected by holding semi-structured and in-depth interviews with 11 women in stages 1, 2, and 3 of bc in the age range of 29 to 51 years. the interview guide was semi-structured questions.results: the main concepts indicating cultural factors affecting bc adaptation were extracted. in this regard, the challenges of women with bc were as follows: fear of cancer, financial and occupational problems, changes in motherhood role, perceived concerns about the unpredictability of social conditions, unhealthy sympathy from relatives and community members, and the issue of cancer as a taboo. moreover, some strategies were adopted to cope with the threatening conditions of this disease: spirituality, perceived support, maintaining individual abilities, and emotional expression.conclusion: individuals’ culture affects the formation of their experiences and adaptation to bc. interventions culturally tailored to individuals’ needs can play a more effective role by using a common language (i.e., culture).
