سنت‌های مختلف در قرآن: بررسی تحلیل ونزبرو از داستان شعیب در قرآن و ارزیابی پیامدهای آن

در نظر ونزبرو متن قرآن متشکل از واحدهایی کوتاه و مجزاست که در طی فرایندی تدریجی بسط ‌یافته‌اند و کنار هم قرارگرفته‌اند. با این فرض هدف از تحلیل ادبی متن قرآن شناختن این واحدهای مستقل، که ونزبرو آن‌ها را بیانات پیامبرانه می‌نامد، و بررسی فرم‌های مرتبط با آن‌ها و مراحل تاریخی گسترش آن‌هاست. در این راستا وی برای نمونه به تحلیل تحریر‌های مختلف داستان‌ شعیب در قرآن می‌پردازد و تحریر‌های مختلف این داستان‌ را نمایانگر وجود سنت‌های مختلف و مستقل در قرآن می‌داند که تفاوت در الگوی روایت در این تحریر‌ها ریشه‌ در اختلاف و استقلال آن سنت‌ها از یکدیگر دارد. به‌زعم ونزبرو این تفاوت به گونه‌ای‌است که بیش از یک نسل برای پدید آمدن آن لازم ‌است و از این امر به‌عنوان شاهدی برای تدوین دیرهنگام متن نهایی قرآن، یعنی اواخر قرن دوم، استفاده‌ می‌کند. این پژوهش با روش توصیفی- تحلیلی-انتقادی به تبیین و ارزیابی تحلیل ادبی ونزبرو از آیات مرتبط با داستان شعیب در قرآن و نتایج آن می‌پردازد و نشان‌می‌دهد که تحلیل ونزبرو بر پایۀ فرض‌هایی کلی استوار است که اعتبار آن‌ها محل مناقشه‌است.

different traditions in the qur’an: wansbrough’s analysis of shu’aib story in the qur’an, a critical study

according to wansbrough, the text of the qur’an came into existence out of short, separate units that have been developed and put together in a gradual process. based on this assumption, the purpose of literary analysis of the text of the qur’an is to identify these independent units, which wansbrough calls prophetic logia, and to study their related forms and the historical stages of their development. accordingly, he analyzes the different versions of shu’aib’s story in the qur’an and considers the different versions of this narrative to suggest the preexistence of different and independent traditions incorporated into the qur’anic text. this difference, in his view, is such that it takes more than just a single generation to emerge. thus, he counts it as evidence for the late canonization of the final text of the qur’an at the end of the second century. this article explains and evaluates wansbrough’s literary analysis of related verses of the shu’aib’s story in the qur’an and its results.
