نقدی بر دیدگاه یوری روبین دربارۀ تفسیر کلمات «مزمل» و «مدثر» مقالۀ «رسول جامه به‌خود پیچیده»

یوری روبیناستاد بازنشستۀ دانشگاه تاوویو است که کتاب ها و مقاله‌های متعددی پیرامون اسلام آغازین با تاکید بر قرآن، تفسیرقرآن و سیره و حدیث در مداخل دائره‌المعارف قرآن لایدن به چاپ رسانده است. یکی از مقاله‌های ایشان «رسول جامه به خود پیچیده (تفسیر مزمل و مدثر)» است. روبین در این مقاله تفاسیر نوشته شده دربارۀ خطابات مزمل و مدثر را به سه دسته تقسیم کرده است؛ «تبیین‌های خنثی» که بدون هیچ دلیلی به بیان لغوی واژگان پرداخته، «تبیین‌های ستایشی» که در آن ها این واژگان به عنوان القابی افتخارآمیز و محترمانه برای پیامبراکرم(ص) به شمار رفته و «تبیین‌های مذمتی» که در تفسیر واژگان فوق‌الذکر به قصور یا ناتوانی پیامبر‌اکرم(ص) در ادای رسالت اشاره کرده و حالت پوشیدگی را بازتابی از اعمالِ متنبیان و کاهنان پیش از اسلام دانسته و آن را نشانۀ عدم فعالیت، گوشه‌گیری و عدم تمایل پیامبر(ص)، به رویارویی با مشکلات موجود در انجام رسالت نبوی دانسته است. پژوهش حاضر با سه روش نقد محتوایی، منبعی و روشی به ارزیابی و تحلیل دیدگاه و مستندات روبین پرداخته و با تبیین حقایق تاریخ اسلام، معنی واژگان و حدیث «انا النذیر العریان»، ادعای او را متاثر از رجوع تک‌بعدی به منابع، عدم اعتبارسنجی آن ها، و بیان نظرات شخصی به جای نظرات مفسران مسلمان می‌داند.

Critique of Uri Rubin’s Interpretation of “alMuzzammil” and “al Muddaththir” in His Article: The Shrouded Messenger (On the Interpretation of al Muzzammil and alMuddaththir)

Uri Rubin, the professor emeritus of Tel Aviv University, has published numerous books and articles on the early Islamic period with a focus on the Holy Quran, its interpretation, and prophetic biography and hadiths, of which is his paper “The Shrouded Messenger (On the Interpretation of alMuzzammil and alMuddaththir”, in EQ. In this writing, Rubin classifies the interpretations on the titles “alMuzzammil” and “alMudaththir” as three categories: first, the “Neutral Explanations” that explain the semantic meanings of the terms without mentioning the reason for using them; second, “the Commendation Explanations” that the terms have been considered as praiseworthy and respectable for the holy prophet; third, “the Reproachful Explanations” that indicate the ignorance or inability of the holy prophet while performing his responsibilities and regard the shrouded mode as a reflection of preIslamic priests. The latter indicate to the holy prophet’s inaction, isolation, and lack of interest to face with the obstacles against his prophetic responsibilities. Making a critique on three aspects of content, source, and method, the present research investigates Rubin’s viewpoints and evidences. In addition, regarding facts of the Islamic history and the explanation of the meaning of the terms and the hadith of “’ana alnadhīr al‘uryān”, it is proved that his claims originate from the fact that he has referred to the sources in a onedimensional manner, without validating them, and putting forward his own personal views instead of Muslim scholars’ interpretations.
