کارکردهای «عقل» در نهج البلاغه

در نهج البلاغه مردم به تعقل دعوت شده اند و نقش‌ها و کارکردهایی برای عقل ترسیم شده است، اما این موارد به صراحت بیان نشده و در فحوای کلام امام علی(ع) قرار دارند. کارکردهای عقل در نهج‌البلاغه بر دو نوع است؛ یکی نظری که باعث ارتقای سطح معرفتی انسان می شود و دیگری عملی که باعث رشد جامعه خواهد شد. این نوشتار با روش توصیفی تحلیلی به استخراج کارکردهای عقل و نظام بخشیدن به آن‌ها در چهار محور می پردازد: ارتباط انسان با خدا، یعنی کاربرد عقل برای شناخت خدا و دستوراتش و زمینه سازی برای ارتباط با او؛ ارتباط انسان با خود، یعنی کاربرد عقل برای شناخت اعمال خوب و بد و راهنمایی انسان برای شناخت وظایف خود در دنیا و دوری از انحراف‌ها؛ ارتباط انسان با دیگران، یعنی کاربرد عقل در انجام برخی امور اجتماعی که لازمۀ آن‌ها برخورداری از عقل است، به جهت فراهم نمودن شرایط رشد جامعه؛ ارتباط انسان با طبیعت و جهان، یعنی کاربرد عقل برای شناخت انسان از دنیا به منظور پی بردن به قدرت خدا گرچه عقل انسان در ارتباط با خدا و طبیعت با محدودیت‌هایی مواجه است.

The Functions of Intellect and Rationality in Nahj alBalagha

In Nahj alBalagha, people have been invited to rationality, and some roles have been identified for intellect and rationality. These roles are not expressed explicitly, but implicitly in the words of Imam Ali (PBUH). This study aims to investigate and organize these items and, also, consider the functions of rationality and intellect through applying a descriptive analytical method in four categories: 1) the Relationship of human and God: the functions of intellect to know God and His commands and to set the scene to have relationship to Him; 2) the Relationship of human to himself: the functions of intellect to recognize good and bad behaviors; 3) the Relationship of human to other people, and 4) the Relationship of human to the nature and world: the functions of intellect to know the world to think about the power of  God. In general, the functions of intellect in Nahj al‌‌Balagha are divided into two categories: The first is “theoretical intellect” that leads to the growth of human knowledge and the second is “practical intellect” which leads to the growth of society.
