|
Preventive medicine in the elderly is often regarded as a redundantconcept and pre-existing opinions are barriers in the provision of thisservice. this article explores the concepts of preventive medicine in theelderly from a united kingdom perspective and examines current trends,opinions and sets out a path for the future. in particular it focusses onthe theories of morbidity associated with ageing, economic viability ofof providing preventive medicine care for the older person and attemptsto seek redress for the current situation.
