|
Polypyrrole films were prepared via electropolymerization by means of different electrochemical techniques under potentiodynamic, potentiostatic, and galvanostatic conditions. to inspect the influence of carbon nanotubes in the electropolymerization process, a small amount of carbon nanotubes were dispersed within the electrochemical cell. since the electropolymerization is accompanied by the precipitation of the reaction product, it is involved an active mass transfer process; thus, the electrode orientation has an effect on the electrodeposition process. it was found that this effect is significantly severer when the electropolymerization process is performed in the presence of carbon nanotubes. in fact, the electrode orientation (or in other expression, the gravitational orientation) affects the attachment of the carbon nanotubes onto the electrode surface, which the main factor responsible for the different electropolymerization in the presence of carbon nanotubes.
