دندانپزشکان عمومی چگونه با مواد و تکنولوژی های جدید آشنا می شوند؟ یک مطالعه کیفی در شهر یزد

خلاصه:سابقه و هدف: در دنیای دندانپزشکی، مواد و فناوری‌های جدید با سرعت بالایی در حال پیشرفت هستند. این پیشرفت‌ها به دندانپزشکان امکان می‌دهد که گزینه‌های درمانی کارآمدتر، دقیق‌تر و راحت‌تری را به بیماران خود ارائه دهند. این مطالعه با هدف بررسی تجربه دندانپزشکان عمومی شهر یزد از مواد و فناوری‌های جدید دندانپزشکی انجام شد.مواد و روش‌ها: این مطالعه کیفی با استفاده از رویکرد پدیدارشناسی بر روی 10 دندانپزشک عمومی در شهر یزد در سال 1402 انجام گرفت. شرکت‌کنندگان به‌صورت تصادفی انتخاب شده و داده‌ها از طریق مصاحبه‌های عمیق و نیمه‌ساختاریافته جمع‌آوری شدند. مصاحبه‌ها ضبط شده و سپس به متن تبدیل شدند. مطالب مرتبط با هدف مطالعه از متن مصاحبه‌ها استخراج و سپس کدگذاری و طبقه‌بندی شدند. تحلیل داده‌ها به‌صورت دستی و با استفاده از روش تحلیل محتوی انجام شد.یافته‌ها: دندانپزشکان از طریق اینترنت، فضای مجازی، شرکت‌ها و سایت‌های فروشنده، همکاران، کنگره‌های مختلف و دوره‌های بازآموزی با مواد جدید آشنا می‌شوند. همچنین، دندانپزشکان با تکنولوژی‌های جدید دندانپزشکی از طریق دوره‌های آموزشی، مطالب آموزشی آفلاین، دوره‌های بازآموزی، معرفی همکاران و متخصصین و فضای مجازی آشنا شده‌اند. معیارهای انتخاب مواد جدید دندانپزشکی توسط شرکت‌کنندگان شامل کیفیت، قیمت، توانایی هندلینگ، تبلیغات شرکت‌ها، معرفی همکاران و بررسی خود دندانپزشک است. همچنین معیارهای انتخاب تکنولوژی‌های جدید دندانپزشکی توسط آنها شامل روش اجرا، تایید مقالات و مراجع، قیمت و تجربه همکاران می‌باشد.نتیجه‌گیری: نتایج مطالعه حاضر نشان داد که دندانپزشکان عمومی در شهر یزد تمایل زیادی به استفاده از مواد و فناوری‌های جدید در دندانپزشکی دارند. این اشتیاق به دلیل مزایای متعدد مواد و تکنولوژی‌های جدید از جمله افزایش دقت، کارآمدی و راحتی در ارائه خدمات به بیماران است. همچنین با توجه به سرعت بالای پیشرفت در دندانپزشکی، نیاز به حمایت مستمر از دندانپزشکان برای به‌روز نگه‌داشتن دانش و مهارت‌های خود احساس می‌شود. از این رو، تاکید بر اهمیت آموزش مستمر و به‌روزرسانی اطلاعات دندانپزشکان می‌تواند در ارائه خدمات بهتر و کارآمدتر به بیماران کمک شایانی نماید.

how do general dentists become familiar with the new dental materials and technologies? a qualitative study in the city of yazd

abstract:background and aim: in the world of dentistry, new materials and technologies are rapidly advancing. these advancements allow dentists to offer more efficient, precise, and comfortable treatment options to their patients. this study aimed to explore the experiences of general dentists in the city of yazd with new dental materials and technologies.materials and methods: this qualitative study, using a phenomenological approach, was conducted on 10 general dentists in yazd in 2023. participants were randomly selected, and data were collected through in-depth and semi-structured interviews. the interviews were recorded and then transcribed into text. relevant content related to the study’s objectives was extracted from the transcripts, coded, and categorized. data analysis was performed manually using content analysis methods.results: dentists became familiar with new materials through the internet, virtual spaces, companies, and vendor websites, colleagues, various congresses, and refresher courses. they were introduced to new dental technologies through training courses, offline educational materials, refresher courses, colleague and specialist recommendations, and virtual spaces. the criteria for selecting new dental materials by participants included quality, price, handling ability, company advertisements, colleague recommendations, and the dentist’s own evaluation. the criteria for selecting new dental technologies included implementation methods, article and reference approval, price, and colleague experience.conclusion: it seems that general dentists in yazd are highly interested in using new materials and technologies in dentistry. this enthusiasm is due to the numerous advantages of new materials and technologies, including increased precision, efficiency, and comfort in providing services to patients. additionally, given the rapid pace of advancements in dentistry, there is a need for continuous support for dentists to keep their knowledge and skills up to date. therefore, emphasizing the importance of continuous education and updating dentists’ information can significantly contribute to providing better and more efficient services to patients.
