بررسی آگاهی و عملکرد دندانپزشکان نسبت به استفاده از عینک محافظ برای پیشگیری از صدمات چشمی در دندانپزشکان، پرسنل مطب و بیماران در شهر زنجان در سال 1399

سابقه و هدف: عوامل مختلفی در حین پروسه‌های دندانپزشکی باعث ایجاد آسیب به چشم دندانپزشک، پرسنل و بیماران می‌شوند. به دلیل حضور عوامل میکروبی در بزاق به خصوص در همه گیری بیماری هایی مثل ضروری است تا محافظت از چشم ها مورد توجه قرار گیرد. لذا هدف از این مطالعه بررسی آگاهی و عملکرد دندانپزشکان نسبت به استفاده از عینک محافظ برای پیشگیری از صدمات چشمی در دندانپزشکان، پرسنل مطب و بیماران می باشد.مواد و روش ها: مطالعه توصیفی و مقطعی حاضر برروی تعداد 114 نفر از دندانپزشکان عمومی و متخصص شهر زنجان در سال 1399 انجام شد. سئوالات در دو حیطه آگاهی و عملکرد طراحی شدند و پس از بررسی پایایی و روایی پرسشنامه در اختیار شرکت کنندگان قرار گرفت. جهت تحلیل یافته ها از آزمون های mannuwithny و kolmogorovsmirnov استفاده شد.یافته ها: میزان آگاهی دندانپزشکان در خصوص استفاده از عینک محافظ جهت پیشگیری از صدمات چشمی 28/92 ±60/37 و میزان عملکرد ایشان 26/93 ±40/48 بود و علی رغم بالا بودن آگاهی و عملکرد دندانپزشکان متخصص در این زمینه بین ایشان و دندانپزشکان عمومی تفاوت معنی داری دیده نشد. به ترتیب (0/09=p) و (0/06=p) نتیجه گیری: آگاهی دندانپزشکان متخصص در مورد استفاده از عینک محافظ و عملکرد آنها نسبت به دندانپزشکان عمومی در وضعیت بهتری بوده و نیاز به آموزش بیشتر در زمینه آگاهی در رابطه با صدمات چشمی و استفاده از عینک محافظ احساس می شود.

Evaluation the knowledge and practice of dentists to the use of protective glass to prevent eye injuries in dentists, personals, and patients in Zanjan city, 1399

Background and Aim: Various factors cause damage to the eyes of dentists, staff and patients during dental procedures. Due to the presence of microbial agents in saliva, it is necessary to pay attention to eye protection. However, according to studies, only 6252% of dentists use personal protective equipment. Therefore, this study aimed to evaluate the knowledge and practice of dentists regarding the use of goggles to prevent eye injuries in dentists, office staff and patients.Material and Methods: The present crosssectional study was designed and performed on 114 general and specialist dentists in Zanjan in 1399. The questions were designed in two areas of knowledge and practice, and after reviewing the reliability and validity of the questionnaire were provided to the participants. Related to statistrial analyzing fo data, MannUWhitney and kolmogorosmirnov tests were approached.Results: Frequency of dentist rsquo;s knowledge and theire performance were 60.37 ±28.92 and 40.26 ±48.93, respectively Statistical analysis showed that despite the high knowledge and practice of specialists in all cases compared to general dentists; there was no significant difference between the two groups in the use of goggles to prevent eye injuries of dentists, office staff, patients (p> 0.05 ).Conclusion: In general, the knowledge of specialist dentists about the use of protective glasses and their performance is better than general dentists and there is a need for further education in the field of eye injuries and the use of protective glasses.
