بررسی میزان آگاهی دندانپزشکان عمومی در مواجهه با avulsion

خلاصه:سابقه و هدف : با توجه به شیوع نسبتا بالای avulsion و اهمیت درمان اورژانس و عوارض جبران ناپذیر درمان غلط و اهمیت آگاهی دندانپزشکان در مواجهه با avulsion بر آن شدیم تا به سنجش میزان دانش دندانپزشکان عمومی در مورد درمان صحیح avulsion بپردازیم تا برنامه های آموزشی آتی با جهت گیری درست انجام گیرد.مواد و روش ها: این تحقیق به صورت توصیفی مقطعی (descriptive cross sectional) بر روی 300 نفر از دندانپزشکان شرکت کننده در کنگره های ترمیمی و بیماری های دهان در سال 1397 انجام شد. داوطلبان با پاسخ به 11 پرسش چند گزینه ای در چهار طیف خیلی خوب، خوب به عنوان قابل قبول، متوسط و ضعیف به عنوان غیر قابل قبول تقسیم شدند. نتایج با آزمون chisquare تحلیل آماری شد.یافته ها: از 300 نفر افراد مورد بررسی 33% آگاهی قابل قبول و 67% آگاهی غیر قابل قبول داشتند. مهم ترین شاخص عدم آگاهی مربوط به زمان مناسب جهت آغاز درمان ریشه دندان avulsed با اپکس بسته به میزان 76.7% بود. کمبودآگاهی در افراد با سابقه طبابت بیشتر (003/> p) و عدم سابقه درمان ترومای دندانی ( 0.000> p) به طور معناداری بیشتر بود.نتیجه گیری : به نظر می رسد که میزان آگاهی از درمان دندان avulsed شده در میان دندانپزشکان عمومی غیر قابل قبول و جایگاه نگران کننده ای دارد به خصوص با فاصله گرفتن از زمان فارغ التحصیلی میزان آگاهی کاهش یافته است.

Evaluation of General dentists’ knowledge about Dental avulsion

Abstract Background Aim: The prevalence of avulsed teeth is high and wrong treatment can complicate dental problems, so emergency treatment and making the right decision is crucial. This study was going to assess knowledge of general dentists regarding this issue in order to proper orientation in future education.Material Methods: This descriptivecross sectional research was done on 300 dentists who have participated in operative and oral disease congress in 2018.Volunteers answered to 11 multiple choice questions in 4 stages of very good, good, fair, poor. Dentists whose grade were in range of very good to good were considered as acceptable score. Dentists whose grade were in range of fair to poor, they were considered as unacceptable score. Findings were evaluated by chisquare analysis.Results: From 300 dentists who were tested, 33% of them had acceptable point and 67% had unacceptable point. The most difficulty they had was knowing the appropriate time to start root canal treatment in mature teeth (76/7%). Insufficient knowledge was significantly higher in more experienced dentist (P=0/003) and dentists who had no experience about treatment of traumatic teeth (P < 0/00).Conclusion: It seems the amount of knowledge for treatment of avulsed teeth is low and concerning among general dentists especially those graduated from university for a long time ago, the amount of knowledge is decreased.
