سکولارسازی و سکولارزدائی در نظریه روابط بین‌الملل

در چند دهه گذشته نظریه‌های انتقادی در سیاست بین‌الملل با این باور که نقصانهای تحلیلی این حوزه ریشه در تنگ‌نظری‌های تحلیلی جریان غالب دارد به نقد ابعاد اثبات‌گرایانه (یافت‌باورانه)، خردگرایانه، مادی‌گرایانه، و نگرش سلطه‌جویانه و استیلا طلبانه جریان رائج پرداختند و بر ضرورت تحول در جهان نگرشهای غرب‌محورانه نظریه‌های روابط‌بین‌الملل و مدخلیت بخشیدن به نگرشهای پسایافت‌باورانه، تامل‌گرایانه، انگاره‌گرایانه و رهایی‌جویانه تاکید ورزیدند و منشا ناتوانی تحلیلی بسیاری از نظریات را به عوامل مذکور بازگرداندند. با این وجود کمتر به این مساله پرداخته‌اند که منشا و ریشه ابعاد این عوامل چالش برانگیز در چه مولفه‌ایی بنیادین نهفته است و نسبت آن با فرایند سکولار سازی این علم چیست؟ این نوشتار با این ایده که نگاه مادی‌گرایانه به روابط بین‌الملل، که میراث حاکمیت اقتدارورزانه نگرش سکولاریستی به این عرصه است، یکی از عوامل موثر در پیدایش چالش‌های تحلیلی تئوری‌های موجود روابط بین‌الملل می‌باشد، تلاش می‌کند تا سهم سکولاریسم در پیدایش نقصانهای مذکور را ترسیم نموده و نشان دهد که چگونه فرایند سکولارسازی علم روابط‌بین‌الملل، فرصت نگاه آزاداندیشانه به تحلیل واقعیتهای عینی را از نظریه‌های این علم بازستانده است و منشا آنچه نظریه‌های انتقادی بر جریان غالب خرد گرفته‌اند ریشه در فرایند سکولارسازی این گرایش دارد. همچنین بیان می‌دارد که جریانهای انتقادی خود بدلیل پایبندی به سکولاریسم از آفت آن مصون نمانده‌اند.

Secularization and Desecularization in Theory of International Relations

He also states that his critical currents have not been immune from the pest because of adherence to secularism.
