آگاهی هایی تازه درباره‌ تاج الدّین محمود اُشْنوی و ارتباط وی با مجدالدّین بغدادی و دربار خوارزمشاهیان

ازآنجاکه دربارۀ احوال تاج الدّین محمود اُشْنوی اطلاعات دقیقی در دست نیست و پژوهشگران نیز با حدس و گمان دربارۀ جزئیّات‌ زندگی‌ وی سخن گفته اند، انتشار هرگونه سندی که بتواند برخی از زاویای زندگی او را روشن تر سازد، اهمیت خواهد داشت. در این مقاله، ضمن بررسی آرای پژوهشگران درباره‌ زندگی و آثار اشنوی، نامه ای نویافته از مجدالدّین بغدادی را معرفی کرده ایم که از فحوای آن چنین برمی آید که اشنوی حوالی سال های 597 تا 602 ق. ضمن اقامت در هرات، در خانقاهی کهن به هدایت مریدان و درس و وعظ می پرداخته است و مقام و آوازه‌اش چنان بلند بوده که اطرافیان محمد خوارزمشاه، از ترس نفوذ معنوی او، در صدد تخریبش بر آمده اند و تلاش کرده اند تا نظر سلطان را درباره‌ وی تغییر دهند. خوارزمشاه نیز به محض محاصرۀ هرات، او را زندانی کرده است، اما درنهایت عارف بزرگی همچون مجدالدین بغدادی، ضمن تعظیم و بزرگداشت وی، از نفوذ بسیار زیاد خود در دربار خوارزمشاهیان برای رهایی او از بند اسارت استفاده کرده است.

new insights into taj ad-din mahmoud oshnuvi and his relationship with majd ad-din baghdadi and the court of khwarezmshahian

since there is no accurate information about the life of taj ad-din mahmoud oshnuvi, researchers have just speculated about the details of his life. accordingly, publication of any document that can clarify some aspects of his life is of great importance. in this article, besides examining the opinions of the researchers about oshnuvi’s life and works, a newfound letter by majd ad-din baghdadi is introduced; the content of which reveals that oshnuvi lived around the years 597 to 602 a.h. in herat. while staying in herat, he guided his disciples, taught, and preached in an old monastery. at that time, his status and reputation were so high that the people around muhammad khwarazmshah, fearing his spiritual influence, tried to defame him. they attempted to alter sultan’s opinion about him. as soon as khwarazmshah besieged herat, he imprisoned oshnuvi. at last, a great mystic like majd ad-din baghdadi, who respected and honored him, exploited his great influence in khwarazmshah’s court to free oshnuvi from captivity.
