بررسی استعارۀ مفهومی «جهان هستی، درخت است» در متون عرفانی

در جستار حاضر، استعارۀ مفهومی «جهان هستی، درخت است» در سه متن عرفانی انسان کامل عزیزالدین نسفی، مرصادالعباد نجم‌الدین رازی و معارف بهاءولد بررسی می شود. پرسش‌های پژوهش عبارت اند از: 1. نویسندگان این آثار کدام‌یک از دریافت‌ها و تجربه‌های عرفانی انتزاعی خود را دربارۀ عالم هستی با بهره‌گیری از قلمرو مبدا درخت تبیین کرده‌اند؟ 2. از انطباق میان حوزۀ مبدا و مقصد در استعارۀ مفهومی مورد بحث، چه جفت‌های متناظری شکل گرفته است؟نگارندگان برای پاسخگویی به این پرسش‌ها، ابتدا به شیوۀ استقرایی متن‌های مورد مطالعه را واکاوی و شواهد کاربرد استعارۀ مفهومی «جهان هستی به‌مثابۀ درخت» را استخراج کردند. سپس به شیوۀ توصیفی تحلیلی به بررسی داده‌های پژوهش پرداختند. دستاورد تحقیق بیانگر آن است که نویسندگان یادشده از این استعارۀ مفهومی به‌منظور بیان مفاهیمی چون مبدا آفرینش، توحید ذاتی، انسان کامل، بلوغ و حریت، مبدا ارواح، مبدا عالم، وحدت وجود، مرگ و معاد استفاده کرده‌اند. بعضی از جفت‌های متناظری که در این آثار، از نگاشت درخت و اجزا و عناصر مربوط به آن بر پدیده‌های انتزاعی عالم هستی حاصل می‌شود عبارت اند از: «درخت/ جهان، آفرینش و هستی، زمین و آسمان (مجازاً دنیا)، جسم انسان»، «میوه/ انسان، حضرت محمد (ص)، روح انسان»، «تخم/ عقل اول، روح محمدی، گوهر ذات الهی»، «رسیدن و پختن میوه/ رسیدن آدمی به کمال» و «جداشدن میوه از درخت/ مفارقت روح از جسم».

The Universe Is a Tree Conceptual Metaphor in Mystical Texts

The conceptual metaphor of “the universe is a tree” in three mystical texts of the Perfect Man by Azizedin Nasafi, Morsad alAbad by Najm alDin Razi and Education by Baha’valad will be examined in this paper. The research questions are: a) Which of their mysticalabstract experiences about the universe have the authors elucidated deploying the territory of the tree? b) What corresponding pairs have been shaped through interaction between the source and target domains in the conceptual metaphor? To answer the questions, the researchers initially examined the texts inductively and extracted instances of application of the conceptual metaphor, the world as a tree. The research data was then analyzed using descriptiveanalytical method. The findings indicate that the authors have utilized the conceptual metaphor to express concepts like the origin of creation, inherent monotheism, perfect man, puberty and liberation, the origin of spirits, the origin of the universe, the unity of existence, death, and resurrection. Some of the corresponding pairs in the studied works are derived from mapping tree and its components onto the abstract phenomena of the universe, including “tree/universe, creation and existence, earth and sky (metaphor for world), human body”, “fruit/human, the Prophet Mohammad (PBUH), human soul”; “seed/first intellect”; “Mohammadi soul; sublime divine essence”; “fruit growth and ripening/reaching perfection by human”; and “fruit separation from tree/detachment of soul from body”.
