کَرز (karz) واژه‌ای از گویش خراسان در شاهنامه؟ (طرح مساله و اقتراح)

مصراع «شب تیره و گُرزهای گران» در شاهنامه دو بار از زبان رستم تکرار شده است. بخش دومِ این مصراع در نسخه‌های شاهنامه «کرزهای کران» نوشته شده است و تقریباً همۀ چاپ‌کنندگان و مصحّحانِ این متن آن را «گُرزهای گران» خوانده‌اند که ترکیبی آشنا و پر‌کاربرد در سخن فردوسی است. یکی از مصحّحانِ شاهنامه در چاپ خویش این ترکیب را به «کُرزه‌های گران» تصحیحِ قیاسی کرده و «کُرزه» را در معنای «کشت‌زار» ناظر بر خوید و سبزه‌زارِ مذکور در هفت‌خانِ رستم دانسته‌اند. نگارنده با استفاده از دقّت و توجّهِ این مصحّح و رعایتِ نهایتِ احتیاط و احتمالِ علمی، صورتِ «کَرزهای گران» را پیش‌نهاد کرده و به اقتراحِ صاحب‌نظران گذاشته است. «کَرز» (karz) از واژه‌های گویشیِ خراسان (متداول در قاین) و در معنای «شکافِ بزرگ در کوه» است و «کَرزهای گران» به معنیِ «گودال‌ها و شکاف‌هایِ صعب‌العبورِ کوه‌ها» می‌تواند به گذشتن رستم از ناهمواری‌ها و مَغاک‌ها و کوه‌های مازندران در داستان هفت‌خان اشاره داشته باشد.

Karz, A Word from khorasan Dialect in Shahnameh?(A proposition)

The following hemistich dark night and heavy maces was repeated twice on behalf of Rostam in Shahnameh. The next part of this hemistich in other Shahnameh editions is written as Karzhaye geran, yet almost all publishers and editors of this text read this as gorzhaye geran which is a more familiar compound and highly employed in Ferdowsi's speech. In one edition of Shahnameh one of its editors had corrected this compound as korzehaye geran and assumed the meaning of sown field for korz on the basis of that in Haft Khane Rostam. The writer of this article with all due respect to the above interpretation suggest the form karzhaye geran and hence leave the judgement to the authorities. karz is a dialectical word popular in Qayen in Khorasan Province which means great crevice in the mountain, and hence karzhaye geran could refer to Rostam's passing these highly dangerous crevices in the mountains of Mazandaran in the story of Haft Khan.
