بررسیِ تکنیک‌های تعلیق در داستاِن رستم و اسفندیار

تعلیق، کیفیتی است که نویسنده برای واقعیتی که در شرفِ تکوین است، در داستانِ خود می‌آفریند و خواننده را مشتاق و کنجکاو به ادامه داستان می‌کند؛ ازین‌رو، هر حالتی، اَعم از کشمکش‌های داستانی، پیچیدگی، ابهام و ... که خواننده را به داستان، اشخاصِ داستان، سرنوشتِ آنان و روندِ ماجرا، حساس کند، در حوزه تعلیق قرار می‌گیرد. این امر، نه تنها از کسل شدن و بی‌حوصلگیِ خواننده می‌کاهد؛ بلکه، سببِ پویایی و تحرّکِ بیشترِ روایت نیز می‌گردد. یکی از داستان‌هایی که عنصرِ تعلیق، نقشِ موثری در سیرِ خطّی و طولی آن داشته است، نبردِ رستم و اسفندیار در شاهنامه است. در این داستانِ طولانی، عواملِ متعددی، سبب‌سازِ تعلیق شده‌اند که هر کدام به نحوی، به پویاییِ داستان، کمک کرده‌اند. در بررسیِ صورت گرفته، براعتِ استهلال، پیش‌بینی‌های رخ داده، کشمکش‌های درونیِ شخصیت‌ها، بازگشت‌های روایی، جزئی‌نگری در توصیفات، طولانی شدنِ گفتگوها و انواعِ آن(تک‌گوییِ درونی و حدیثِ نفس‌گویی و ...)، انواعِ تداعی‌های لفظی و معنوی(شیوه داستان در داستان، و ...)، همگی، از جمله ترفندهای تعلیق، در این داستان بوده‌اند که از سویی، سببِ تداومِ داستان و به تعویق انداختنِ پایانِ داستان شده‌اند و از سوی دیگر، اشتیاقِ خواننده را، برای درکِ چگونگیِ این روند، افزایش داده‌اند. در پژوهشِ پیشِ رو، پس از آشنایی با مفهومِ تعلیق و ویژگی‌های آن، به عناصر و شیوه‌هایی که نقشِ موثری در ایجاد تعلیق‌ در داستان رستم و اسفندیار داشته‌اند، پرداخته شده است.

The study of suspense techniques in the tale of Rostam and Esfandyar

AbstractSuspense is a quality created by the writer to induce anticipation and curiosity to the reader as to the outcome of a story.  Therefore, any state be it conflicts in the story, complexity, ambiguity, and etc which sensitizes the reader towards the story, its characters and their destinies, and the chain of events place itself in the domain of suspense.  Not only this method diminishes reader’s weariness and ennui but also creates dynamism in the progression of the story.  One of the tales in which the technique of suspense plays an effective role in the linear course of the story is the combat of Rostam and Esfandyar in Shahnameh.  In this long tale, numerous factors create suspense, and each in a way contribute to the dynamism in the story.  Predictions made, internal conflicts of the characters, narrative flashbacks, detailed descriptions, long dialogues and their kinds (internal monologues, soliloquy) variety of implicit and explicit allusions (story within story method) are all parts of suspense device in the tale which on one hand cause continuity in the story and postpones the outcome of the tale and on the other hand, enhances readers appeal to understand the line of the story.  After getting familiarized with the concept of suspense and its characteristics this research deals with the effective methods and techniques in creating suspense in the tale of Rostam and Esfandyar.
