میزان موفقیت آکادمیک و عوامل پیش‌گویی‌کننده آن از دیدگاه دانشجویان پرستاری دانشگاه علوم پزشکی کاشان

مقدمه: شناسایی عوامل موثر بر موفقیت آکادمیک دانشجویان پرستاری از اهمیت ویژه ای برخوردار است. با توجه به تناقضات موجود در ارتباط با عوامل تاثیرگذار، مطالعه ای با هدف شناسایی عوامل پیش گویی کننده موفقیت آکادمیک دانشجویان پرستاری دانشگاه علوم پزشکی کاشان انجام شد. روش ها: در این مطالعه توصیفی مقطعی، 134 دانشجوی سال دوم تا چهارم پرستاری دانشگاه علوم پزشکی کاشان در سال 1393 به صورت تصادفی منظم انتخاب شدند. جهت جمع آوری اطلاعات از پرسش نامه ای مشتمل بر اطلاعات دموگرافیک و موفقیت آکادمیک پس از تایید روایی و پایایی آن، استفاده گردید. اطلاعات با استفاده از آزمون های مجذور کای، کروسکال والیس، من ویتنی و ضریب همبستگی اسپیرمن، تحلیل شد. نتایج: وضعیت غیر بومی و اقامت در خوابگاه بر موفقیت آکادمیک تاثیر مثبت داشت (05/0> p). با وجود افزایش نمره موفقیت آکادمیک دانشجویان با افزایش ترم تحصیلی، تفاوت معناداری بین میانگین نمره موفقیت آکادمیک در ترم های مختلف تحصیلی مشاهده نشد (26/0=p). میانگین نمره کل موفقیت آکادمیک دانشجویان 02/10 ±23/105 از حداکثر نمره قابل کسب 156 بود (30/67% از نمره کل). همچنن ارتباط معناداری بین معدل کل و نیز معدل ترم قبل دانشجویان با میانگین نمره کل موفقیت آکادمیک، مشاهده نشد(59/0=p). نتیجه گیری: با توجه به نقش پیش گویی کنندگی فاکتورهای دموگرافیک در موفقیت آکادمیک دانشجویان پرستاری، مسوولان باید در راستای بهبود موفقیت آکادمیک آن ها برنامه ریزی نمایند.

Assessing Academic Success and Its Predictors from the Perspective of Nursing Students in Kashan University of Medical Sciences

Introduction: Identifying the factors influencing nursing students rsquo; academic success is of great importance. Due to controversies on the role of influencing factors, this study aimed to identify the predictors of academic success among nursing students of Kashan University of Medical Sciences. Methods: In this crosssectional study, 134 sophomore to senior nursing students studying at Kashan University of Medical Sciences were selected through systematic random sampling in 2014. The data was collected through a questionnaire including demographic and academic success information which was used after confirming its validity and reliability. Data were analyzed using Chisquare, KruskalWallis, MannWhitney and Spearman correlation coefficient. Results: Nonnative status and staying in dormitory had positive effects on academic success (p < 0.05). No significant difference was observed between the students rsquo; academic success mean scores in different semesters despite an increase in academic success of students in final semesters (p=0.26). The overall mean score of academic success was 105.23 ±10.02 out of the highest possible score of 156 (67.30% out of the overall score). No significant correlation was observed between the students rsquo; overall GPA and the last term GPA with academic success score (p = 0.59). Conclusion: Considering the predicting role of demographic factors in the nursing students rsquo; academic success; the authorities should plan to improve the students rsquo; academic success.
