دارالتادیبی در شهربازی: نقدی بر جایگاه تخیل در سینمای کودک

در آثار سینمایی مربوط به حوزه‌ی کودکان، الگویی مکرر در ساخت‌مایه‌ی آثار وجود دارد که الگوی تکرارشونده است. به نظر می‌رسد این الگو ضد ماهیت فیلم کودک عمل می‌کند و به‌جای اینکه عنصر تخیل را در راستای آزادی، رهایی و میل به مکاشفه در ذهن کودکان نهادینه کند، برعکس، مایه‌ی آزردگی خاطر و وحشت کودکان از خیال‌پردازی می‌شود. در پژوهش حاضر، ضمن بررسی مقوله‌ی کودکی، نقش تربیتی آثار کودک، جایگاه تخیل در فیلم کودک و مراحلی که قهرمان کودک در فیلم طی می‌کند تا تنش اولیه را خنثی کند، به تصویر کشیده شده است. بدین‌منظور، جایگاه تخیل در آثار منتخب سینمای کودک از پیش از انقلاب 1357 تا دهه‌ی 90 بررسی شده و الگوی تخیل به‌کاررفته در این آثار برجسته شده است. معیار انتخاب فیلم‌ها این بوده است که پس از تنش اولیه‌ی قهرمان در فیلم، عنصری از عالم تخیل، مثل جهانی دیگر یا موجودی خیالی، به جهان کودک وارد شود و تجربه‌ای را همراه با سفر قهرمانی برای او رقم بزند. این ورود و خروج قهرمان به عالم خیال در فیلم از الگویی تبعیت می‌کند که فیلم‌سازان به‌منظور اهداف تربیتی آن را برساخته‌اند. این الگو مانع از آن می‌شود که کودکان بدون واهمه از آنچه به‌مثابه‌ خیال‌پردازی به آن‌ها معرفی می‌شود، به تماشای اثری بپردازند که برای آن‌ها تولید شده است. پژوهش حاضر با برجسته‌کردن این الگو که شامل «تنش اولیه، جست‌وجوی راه‌حل و بازگشت با پشیمانی به حالت اولیه» است، تخیل را به‌منزله‌ی دارالتادیبی که در شهربازی بنا شده باشد، پیش روی کودکان به‌تصویر می‌کشد. با اینکه این الگو در همه‌ی دنیا پذیرفته شده و به نظر می‌رسد که به کودک کمک می‌کند تا با جهان واقعی سازگار شود، براساس الگوی سفر قهرمان، بازگشت قهرمان در ساختار فیلم کودک، «بازگشت با اکسیر» نیست. قهرمان کودک پس از طی مراحلی که پیش روی او قرار دارد، درنهایت، چنان به نقطه‌ی آرامش بازمی‌گردد که گویی اصلاً سفری در کار نبوده است! تنها حاصل سفر کذایی او پشیمانی است. این الگو، جایگاه تخیل را در فیلم کودک متزلزل کرده و کودک را از خیال‌ورزی رهایی‌بخش بازمی‌دارد.

a correctional center in the amusement park: a critique of the place of imagination in children’s cinema

there is a frequent pattern in the structure of the cinematographic works for children which seems to work against the nature of children’s cinema because, instead of institutionalizing the element of imagination in the children’s minds for the aim of freedom and the desire for discovery, it leads to children’s fear of imagination. the present research examines the category of childhood, the educational role of children’s works and the place of imagination in children’s films, and tries to depict the steps that the child hero goes through in the movie to neutralize the initial tension. to do so, the place of imagination in selected works of children’s films from before the revolution on 1979 to the decade of 1990s was investigated and the model of fantasy used in these works was identified. the findings show that the entrance and the exit of the hero to the world of imagination follow a pattern which, mainly because of its educational goal, prevents children from watching a work produced for them without being afraid of what is presented to them as imagination. by highlighting this pattern, which includes “initial tension, searching for a solution, and returning with regret to the original state”, the present research compares imagination to a juvenile correctional center built in an amusement park. although this pattern is accepted all over the world and seems to help children to adapt to the real world, when looked at from the perspective of hero’s journey model, the hero’s return is not a “return with elixir”. after going through the steps that are in front of him/her, the child hero finally returns to the point of peace as if there was no journey at all! the only result of his/her so-called journey is regret. such a pattern weakens the place of imagination in children’s films and prevents children from engaging in imagination.
