مروری بر اثرات اوره در اختلالات پوستی

تغییرات در عملکرد سد حفاظتی پوست با تعدادی از بیماری‌های پوستی ازجمله خشکی پوست، درماتیت آتوپیک و پسوریازیس مرتبط است. اوره، به‌عنوان یکی از فاکتورهای مرطوب‌کننده طبیعی پوست، نقش مهمی در حفظ رطوبت و یکپارچگی پوست دارد. مطالعات‌ متعددی اثرات اوره را در بالین مورد بررسی قرار داده‌اند. این مقاله، شواهد بالینی موجود در مورد اثبات اثرات اوره در حفظ سلامت پوست سالم و درمان اختلالات پوستی را بررسی می نماید. فرمولاسیون های موضعی حاوی اوره در غلظت‌های پایین‌تر (کمتر از 10%)، به‌عنوان یک مرطوب‌کننده پوست عمل می کنند، درحالی که در غلظت های بالاتر (بیش از 10%)، اثر کراتولیتیک دارند. اوره هم‌چنین به‌دلیل خاصیت افزاینده جذب پوستی، در ترکیب با داروهای ضدالتهاب و ضدقارچ مورداستفاده قرار می‌گیرد.

A review on the effects of urea in skin disorders

Alterations in barrier function are associated with a number of skin diseases, including xerosis, atopic dermatitis, and psoriasis. Urea, a component of the natural moisturizing factor of the skin, plays an important role in the preservation of skin hydration and integrity. Several studies have investigated the effects of urea in the clinical setting. Here, we summarize the available clinical evidence regarding the effects of urea in the maintenance of healthy skin and management of skin disorders. At lower doses ( le;10%),ureacontaining topical formulations act as a skin moisturizer, while at higher concentrations (>10% urea), ureabased preparations exert a keratolytic action. Urea is also useful in combination therapies with antiinflammatory and antifungal drugs, due to its activity as a penetration enhancer.
